Kemp's Playlist for December 2, 2006

In addition to Grateful Dead, today's show featured a set of Chuck Berry tunes, a set featuring the New Riders, and a set of Neil Young's work. We also listened to a set of Dead studio recordings - which admittedly doesn't happen all that much on SSDD. It was interesting - several listeners called to see what versions those songs were, and they were almost shocked to learn that all were studio recordings.

The Dead's studio work is often overlooked - which is a shame. The response was so positive, I'll try to sneak in more studio tracks in the future.
